A film on Mahasharana Haralaiah in the direction of Pusushottam for trio producers Devaraj, KN Venkatesh and Ravichandran is ready and likely to release in October. The audio launch is scheduled in Hassan on 29th of this month says Purushottam director of eight films in Kannada.

Ramesh Aravind is in the role of 12th century reformer and revolutionary personality Sri Basavanna and the devotee of him is Mahasharana Haralaiah played by one of the powerful actors of Kannada cinema Sridhar. It seems Sridhar did the dubbing and he had no invitation for the media meet.

However Ramesh Aravind, Ramakrishna, VIkram Udayakumar and Rajavardhana were present with producers of the film at the media briefing.

Ramesh Aravind comparing the 12th century reforms of Sri Basavanna to the 21st century said when we look at the Vachanas of Basavanna we get new meaning that is so apt. 12th century ‘Koogu’ is today’s public opinion he felt.

Ramakrishna considers Sri Basavanna as ‘Devru’ – there is no doubt about it he says. He calls others also as ‘Devru’ is what objectionable.

Vikram Udayakumar as Haralaiah father and Rajavardhana son of Dingri Nagaraj as Sheelavantha in the film are happy with such a good film in the career.
